Medigistics, an employee owned company based in Columbus, Ohio, is a full service multi-specialty medical billing and accounts receivable management solution. We are expert at converting healthcare provider's hard work into revenue for their respective business.  All services for our clients are performed by our employees in our office in Ohio.

To illustrate our stability and consistency it should be known that several physicians contracted with us at the start of their careers and went on to retire with us as their billing and accounts receivable management company.

The Revenue Cycle

EDX3

The revenue cycle begins with EDX3, an internally developed data capturing program that allows the translation of any type of electronic media into the data elements needed to produce a patient billing record in the practice management system.  Various data elements are checked for validity and completeness.  Any errors found are quickly corrected prior to posting to the billing system. This reduces denials and speeds claim payments.  EDX3 is a rule based system that can be programmed for the specific needs of any practice.

Claims Edit and Submission with RealMed

We utilize real time claim scrubs to verify insurance eligibility, NCCI edits, HIPAA compliance, and claim edits prior to all third party submissions.  This real time safeguard let’s us know in minutes if there is any inaccuracy with the claim circumventing a 2 to 3 week lag time waiting on the carrier’s denial. This process results in faster payment and consequently lowering the outstanding balance in your accounts receivable. Advanced Practice Management Software

MED/FM is an IBM AS/400 based product that has been continually improved and updated over the last 20 years. It currently provides revenue cycle management for over 10,000 physicians nationally.

Medigistics Banking Solution

Medigistics' bank is a complete lockbox solution and more. Monies are electronically deposited directly into the bank and disbursed to clients on a predetermined schedule. The refund process can also be managed as a part of or separate from this lockbox solution. Any un-cashed refunds are reported to the unclaimed funds programs in various states. All governmental and major payers’ checks are electronically deposited directly into client controlled accounts for compliance reasons. All payments are checked for accuracy and completeness to ensure your contracts are performing at the contracted level.

Provider Credentialing

Physician credentialing can be an agonizing process for any provider. We have developed a streamlined approach to this challenging process utilizing software designed by Sy.Med Development called OneApp Professional. OneApp allows us to auto-complete applications, track, and follow-up on delinquent documents in a fast and efficient way.
